Hi, I’m a baptist—I have a question-If you were to die today, are you a 100% sure that you’d go to heaven?   (If sure: What do you believe someone has to do to be saved?) The bible says there’s only one thing we must do to be saved — it’s by faith alone without works (by trusting in Christ — Act 16 :31). Would you like to know for sure? First of all, the Bible says that we’re all sinners - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. So we are all guilty of lying, stealing or coveting. And the Bible says there’s a punishment for our sins. (For the wages of sin is death). So the wages (or penalty) we earn for our sins is death. This is not just a physical death but also a second death in hell— And all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death. So we’re all guilty, right? (We all deserve hell as a punishment for our sins). But there’s good news - the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (

 Yes, the scriptures make it clear that you must ask Jesus to save you when you receive His death, burial and resurrection as the complete payment for your sins (Romans 10:9). Asking Jesus to save you (Romans 10:13) is the most natural reflex you can have if you sincerely believe that you are a lost sinner on your way to hell and when you realize your need to trust Christ alone as Savior.
