The hardcore gospel
If you were to die today, are you a 100% sure that
you’d go to heaven? You can know for sure! First of all the Bible says that
we’re all sinners. We’ve all broken God’s commandments, we’ve all done
something wrong in our lives. Sin is the transgression of the law. As it is
written : there is none righteous, no, not one. For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God. The Bible also says that we all deserve hell because
of our sins (for lying, stealing, or coveting, and whatever). For the wages of
sin is death. This is not only referring to a physical death, but also to a
second death in hell. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and
murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall
have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the
second death.
But the good news is that Christ died for our sins,
and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day in order to pay
for all of our sins and to save us from hell. Jesus Christ is the Son of God
and He is also God manifest in the flesh (In whom we have redemption through
His blood, even the forgiveness of sins). That’s the gospel: Jesus was born of
a virgin, He performed miracles, He lived a perfect sinless life and He was
crucified to bear our sins. Then He was buried, His soul went to hell for 3
days and 3 nights, and He rose again for our justification (that is, to declare
us righteous before God the Father). He bore our punishment and paid for our
sins in full. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that He might bring us to God.
Moreover, the Bible says that salvation is by faith
alone without works – Acts chapter 16 verse 31 says: Believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ, and thou shalt be saved. By trusting Christ alone as God and Savior, we
receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life the moment we believe on Him. For
by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift
of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. The word grace means an
unmerited favor. We are saved solely by God’s grace (by His unmerited favor)
through faith in Jesus Christ. By putting all of our faith and trust in the
death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the complete payment for our sins
and by asking Him to save us, we are saved forever no matter what because we
depend on His righteousness (or perfection) alone for our salvation. We cannot
be saved (or justified) by our own works such as : being a good person, or
going to church, or being baptized, or keeping the commandments or turning away
from sin. Salvation is all by faith, not by works. Eternal life is a free gift,
simply ask for it and you will receive it. That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus (if you ask Him to save you), and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you believe what I’ve shown you so far, you can
recite the following prayer in order to ask Jesus to save you. Prayer alone
doesn’t save you – you must also believe in your heart. If you admit that you
are a sinner, condemned to hell, and if you believe that salvation is only
through faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the complete
payment for your sins (and that it’s not through your own works or efforts),
and that you can never lose it (either through sinning or by a lack of good
works), then you can repeat after me: Dear Jesus, I know I’m a sinner, and I
deserve to go to hell. But I believe that you died on the cross and rose again
to pay for all of my sins. Save me right now and give me eternal life. I’m
trusting in you alone as my Savior - apart from my good works and religion.
Thanks for saving me, Amen!’’ If you are sincere, you have received the gift of
eternal life. Now, if you do good things after you are saved, God will bless
you, and if you do bad things, God will correct you- but you can no longer go
to hell because you are saved. Congrats! He that believeth on the Son Hath
everlasting life.
