The hybrid gospel

Salvation according to the KJV 1611 Holy Bible - 1. All have sinned … ‘’For all have sinned and come short of the glory (or perfection) of God’’. (Romans 3:23) We’ve all lied, stolen or coveted something, and the Bible says there’s a consequence for our sins – ‘’For the wages (or penalty) of sin is death…’’ (Romans 6:23a). This is not only a physical death, but also a second death in hell – ‘’And all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death’’. (Revelation 21:8)

2. Jesus is our Savior … But because God loves us, He doesn’t want us to go to hell to pay for our own sins. That’s why He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be the propitiation (or payment) for our sins. But God commendeth (proves) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree (Romans 5:8, 1 Peter 2:24). (Christ died for our sins, and He was buried, and He rose again the third day in order to pay the full price (or penalty) for our sins – 1Corinthians 15:3-4),

3. Salvation is a free gift … - Moreover, the Bible says that salvation is a gift – ‘’For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast’’. (Ephesians 2:8-9) – Since salvation is a gift, and gifts are always free, we don’t have to give anything in return (it is not of works, not of our own doing). It’s an undeserved gift (Jesus paid the full price for our salvation with His death, His shed blood, and His resurrection). It is not by turning from all of our sins, nor by joining a church, nor by being baptized, nor by keeping the commandments, nor by being a good person – but only by faith (by belief) in Jesus’ finished work alone.

4. Salvation is eternal (you are saved forever the moment you receive Christ) … - The one thing the Bible says we must do to be saved is: ‘’Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved (Acts 16:31).’’ Salvation is a one-time decision. The moment you believe on Christ and accept His death, burial, and resurrection as the complete payment for your sins, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins (past, present and future) and eternal life. No amount of sin or lack of good works can make you lose your salvation once you have believed (because salvation is not by works). That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:15-16). Now, if you do good things after you are saved, God will reward you, and if you commit sins, God will chastise (or discipline) you, but there’s nothing you can do to lose salvation because you’ve become a child of God by faith, and all of your sins are paid for and covered by the blood of Jesus. ‘’That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (if you ask Him to save you), and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved’’ (Romans 10:9). Simply ask Jesus to save you and He will do it – say – Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner, and I deserve to go to hell. But I believe that you died on the cross and rose again to pay for all of my sins. Please save me right now and give me eternal life. I’m trusting in you alone as my Savior – apart from my works. Thanks for saving me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.’’. If you are sincere, you have received the gift of eternal life. ‘’He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life’’ (John 3:36). You can write down today’s date as your salvation day. Congrats. ‘’For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved’’ (Romans 10:13). Please share – God bless you!
